LED LIGHTING & ARCHITECTURAL GLASS REVITALISE A 1950's HOUSE

Several previous extensions had resulted in a significant loss of natural light in the hall, stairs & landing of this 1950's house.  Our solution was to instal a structural glass wall in place of a stud partition that separated one of the bathrooms from the landing, flooding the area with natural light .

The addition of LED lighting to the rear of the glass renders it opaque for privacy and provides continued illumination in the evening.

An architectural balance was achieved on the landing by sliding panels that conceal a second bathroom.  The original fifties style was echoed in the choice of furniture.
