ARCHITECTURAL GLASS REVITALISES 50's HOUSE

This 1950's house has had several additions over the past few decades with a resultant loss of light in the hall, stairs & landing.

Our solution was to install a structural glass wall in place of a stud partition that separated one of the bathrooms from the landing, flooding the area with soft natural light.

By adding floor and ceiling lighting to the wall this gives continued illumination in the evening with various mood options.

An architectural balance was achieved by constructing panelling on the opposite end of the landing which conceals a second bathroom.

The original fifties style was echoed in the choice of furniture.
